Cafe opening

Best Futures Café, a concession stand providing job opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, is now open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays at Centennial Ice Arena in Highland Park, now through the end of April.

Founded by a group of suburban parents in June 2011, Best Futures Inc. is focused on creating opportunities for sustainable competitive employment in the community for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Such opportunities are otherwise very limited, the group says.

Visitors may buy a variety of snacks and beverages, including, pizza, nachos, pretzels, muffins, cookies, candy, fresh fruit, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, sports drinks, pop and more from Best Futures Café.

When visitors make a food or drink purchase, not only do they receive something delicious to enjoy, but they have also played an important role in supporting meaningful job opportunities in the community for individuals with limited job opportunities.
