Duran Duran canceled its Wednesday concert at the Ravinia Festival in Highland Park due to the continuing illness of keyboardist Nick Rhodes.
The 1980s hit band had canceled three previous concerts after Rhodes was treated for possible exhaustion last weekend.
Duran Duran has been touring in support of its latest album, “All You Need Is Now,” for two years.
Ravinia originally advised patrons that a rescheduled concert was likely, but updated their website Wednesday to say that they were unable to reschedule a concert. All tickets holders will be refunded automatically, and do not need to take any action.
The band had hoped to reschedule some of the shows, but decided to cancel the final half-dozen shows on its North American tour. That includes the four U.S. concerts and two shows in Orillia, Ontario.
The band has said Rhodes is suffering from exhaustion or a possible viral infection.
According to the band’s website, “Nick held out all week, hoping that he would be well enough to perform again for these final few shows, but unfortunately the medical advice he has been given today requires him to continue to rest.”
