St. James Preschool invites the community to inquire about the Preschool Family and Let’s Play Some More Preschool Programs for children ages 3-5 years old. 3-year old programs are held two or three days a week. Senior Adult Travel Golf League

Wednesday Mornings, May - September - Tee Off between 7 - 9 a.m.; Fee: $40 / NM: $50. This 9-hole, coed travel golf league rotates weekly between Sunset Valley Golf Course, Highland Park Country Club, Sportsman Country Club, and Deerfield Golf Club. Greens/cart fees are additional, and are payable weekly at each course. Each player is required to sign a copy of the league “Rules and Regulations” prior to the start of the season. Brain Builders Club

Highland Park Senior Center - Thursdays, 10 - 11:30 a.m. Free, for members only. Facilitated by Arden Courts in Northbrook, this group was created to provide challenges recommended to maintain healthy brain function. Highwood Seniors:

Healthy Seniors - A Highwood Affair offers winter/spring sessions from 2-3 p.m. the third Thursday of each month at Skrinar Recreation Center, 428 Green Bay Road.

Grief Support Groups are open to the public and free of charge. Pre-registration is required. The groups meet at NorthShore Hospice office, 4901 Searle Parkway, Skokie. Death of a Spouse - Soul Mates is an ongoing support group for those who have experienced the death of a spouse or life partner. Meeting from 6:30-8 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month.

Death of a Parent - Legacy is an ongoing support group for adults who have experienced the death of a parent. The group meets from 6:30-8 p.m. the first and third Tuesday of the month.

Postpartum Depression/Anxiety Support Group - Family Network, offers a support group for women experiencing postpartum depression or anxiety from 1:30-3 p.m. afternoons at Family Network Parent/Child Center, 330 Laurel Ave., Highland Park. Volunteers

Reading Power, Inc., literacy tutoring program serving elementary school children in North Chicago public schools is seeking volunteers to tutor one half-day per week during the school year. Sports Camps 4 Girls offers several types of camps with flexible week options between June 11 and Aug. 3 held at Lake Forest College, 250 Washington Road, Lake Forest. All skill levels invited. Call (847) 229-9959.

Beanstalk a haven for children, their parents and grandparents reminiscent of toy stores from yesteryear and offers the following events beginning at 1 p.m. All programs are free and open to the public. Family Network Parent/Child Center in Highland Park is open for parents and children (newborn to age four) from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Tuesday through Friday; the first visit is free.
