Highland Park plans Health Care Resources Accessibility Fair

Updated: March 3, 2012 8:40AM

The city of Highland Park will host a Health Care Resources Accessibility Fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 25 at the Highland Park Country Club.

The free informational session is designed to answer residents’ questions about how to access health care resources in the area. The program will assist those who either do not have health insurance or cannot afford to maintain their insurance.

The day will begin with presentations from several health care providers, including NorthShore University HealthSystem.

Mayor Nancy Rotering explained that she was motivated to organize the resource day after receiving mounting reports that families are having trouble keeping their health care.

While parents are at the fair, the Park District of Highland Park will open its Recreation Center gym to children next door.

For more information, call the Highland Park Senior Center at (847) 432-4110. The Highland Park Country Club is located at 1201 Park Avenue West.
