Highland Park Police probe Marriott hold-up

HIGHLAND PARK — Highland Park police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Sunday night at the Marriott Courtyard, 1505 Lake Cook Road, Highland Park.
According to police, two men entered the hotel, walked to the front desk and displayed a handgun. They demanded money from the clerk and fled out the front door of the lobby. No injuries were reported.
Police responded to the hotel after receiving a 911 call about 8:45 p.m. in which the caller hung up. The call originated from the Marriott Courtyard. On arrival, they learned that an armed robbery had just taken place.
One of the suspects was described as 6 feet tall, 170 pounds, with braided, shoulder-length hair. He was last seen wearing a white ball cap, blue short-sleeved shirt with white stripes and blue jeans.
The second suspect was about 5 feet, 6 inches and 165 pounds. The second suspect was clean-shaven with short hair. He was last seen wearing a green cap and green hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
