Police blotter for Jan. 28

The following incidents were listed in the official reports of the Highland Park Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest by police does not constitute a finding of guilt; only a court of law can make that determination.
Highland Park
DUI
Doretha Shingleton, 29, of the 1400 block of Winslowe Drive, Palatine, was charged Saturday, Jan. 26, with driving under the influence and other offenses after police responded to a one-car accident on the 1100 block of Central Avenue. Shingleton also was charged with reckless driving, improper lane usage and operating an uninsured vehicle. She is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 15.
Rosa Rangel, 29, of the 3800 block of Grandview Ave., Gurnee, was charged Sunday, Jan. 27, with driving under the influence and speeding following a stop on the 2000 block of Skokie Valley Road. Rangel is scheduled to appear in court on March 1.
Jorge Gomez, 31, of the 5400 block of West 24th Place, Cicero, was charged Sunday, Jan. 27, with driving under the influence and open transportation of alcohol following a stop near Green Bay Road and Deerfield Road. Gomez is scheduled to appear in court on March 8.
Mikhail Sherman, 63, of the 2000 block of Lake Boulevard, Buffalo Grove, was charged Sunday, Jan. 27, with driving under the influence and disobeying a stop sign after police stopped Sherman’s vehicle on the 700 block of Central Ave. He is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 15.
DRUG OFFENSE
Amy Netzel, 24, of the 3000 block of Knollwood Ave., Glenview, was charged with possession of marijuana and speeding following a stop Tuesday, Jan. 22, on the 1700 block of St. Johns Avenue. Netzel is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 1.
BATTERY
Cesar Castrejon-Camarena, 29, of the 900 block of Deerfield Road, Highland Park, was arrested Saturday, Jan. 26, on an outstanding warrant arising from an alleged incident of domestic battery on Jan. 11. He is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 8.
