5K run for change

Deerfield High School presents the second annual 5K Run for Change to help support 2012 DHS School Chest. School Chest is Deerfield High School’s annual fundraiser that raises thousands of dollars for a charity. This year’s beneficiary is LUNGevity, which funds life-saving research on finding and treating lung cancer more effectively, as well as providing a supportive community for those with the disease.

If runners sign up by Monday, Nov. 19, they will receive a free T-shirt.

The 5K Run for Change is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 1, at Deerfield High School, with sign-in at 9 a.m. and the race starting at 9:30 a.m. Registration is $30.
