Special parents’ event

Managing Stress and Competition: Raising Healthy Youth from 7:30-9 p.m. Jan. 31 at Highland Park High School, 433 Vine Ave., Highland Park.

Join us for this special, complimentary parents’ event, presented in collaboration with NorthShore University HealthSystem, Deerfield Parent Network, Deerfield High School, Highland Park High School, and the HPHS PTO Parent Education Committee. Featured speaker Stacey DeWitt will share her compassionate, common-sense approach to raising healthy youth. DeWitt is a former child advocate with the juvenile justice system, attorney and television journalist.

In 1998, DeWitt founded Atlanta-based Connect with Kids, an organization that produces news, television programs, and parenting DVDs focused on issues children face daily. Connect with Kids programs have won Emmys and Parents’ Choice Awards, and have been featured on the Dr. Phil show, Good Morning America, CNN and more.
