Excellent magazine
Deerfield High School’s literary magazine, Troubadour, has been selected to receive a rank of excellent by the National Council of Teachers of English. The NCTE’s Program to Recognize Excellence in Student Literary Magazines recognizes students, teachers and schools for producing excellent literary magazines. DHS was among 417 schools entered in the 2012 program.
Dance team wows
The Warrior Dance Team were IHSA Sectional Runners-Up at the Sectional competition held at Palatine High School. The team will be advancing to the State finals in Bloomington, Ill.
The members of the Warrior Dance Team include: Sari Klein, Colette Tonner, Mary Defilippis, Samantha Soloway, Sydney Zusman, Jessica Resnick, Anna Epstein, Alexas Plotnick, Danielle Resnick, Jessica Neal, Chloe Weiss, Caitlin Hurwitz, Caroline Bleser, Jaclyn Barichello, Haley Abramson, Annie Walsh, Bernice Hsu, Julia Aronson, Nicole Fisher, Jessica Rappin, Allison Gelfond, Zoe Levin, Tyler Faierstain, Alice DuBois, Alyssa Sloan, Claire Rosenberg, Katie Soloway and Emily Montgomery.
