Apter finishes summer strong

His focus is now on the high school season.
And it figurest to be a good one for Noah Apter.
The Highland Park sophomore closed out his summer season in fine fashion.
He was Mr. Back-to-Back.
On July 31, Apter shot a 73 to claim top honors in the (14-15 age division) IJGA regional at Palatine Hills. Then, a day later, Apter earned medalist honors at the IJGA sectional at Glencoe Golf Club. His 74 was one stroke better than Barrington Hills’ Burke Barsamian.
Apter remained strong when he came up with a top-10 finish in the IJGA Player of the Year championship at Ridge Country Club on Aug. 6. He shot a 157 to finish in a tie for ninth place. Lake Forest’s Jack Garrity took top honors with a 150. ~.
